Dear Family and Friends,
This will be a short letter. We made it back to the Philippines safely and settled back into the routine. We didn’t realize how physically demanding the plane travel has been on us. We didn’t have time to adjust to the flight back to the United States and then we got back on the plane to return 5 days later. It seems that we had a double dose of jet lag (we found that it is possible to sleep for 2 straight days). We had a few appointments but we spent most of this week trying to make the adjustment back to Philippine time.
It is good to be back in the mission. There is much to do here. We love the area but admittedly, it is difficult to start all over again in a new area. We must learn the area and find our contacts and then see what the Lord would have us do here. The people are so good to us. In Church on Sundays we are treated as royalty and we love being with them.
We are doing well. The blessings we have received and continue to receive are remarkable. We sometimes wonder why we are so blessed. We love the gospel and marvel continually at the beautiful and magnificent plan of salvation. Heavenly Father made sure that no one will be forgotten.
How great , how glorious, how complete
Redemption’s grand design
Where justice, love and mercy meet
In harmony divine.
Hymn#195
We love each of you and continue to pray for your well being and safety. We do hope that you are happy and healthy. We hope that the kids are doing well in school and that you are all taking care of yourselves. Write when you have time. Remember to BE good, DO good and BE men and women of Christ. And, always remember to say your prayers.
Love,
Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa, Janene and Grant
